1998 Evolution!


Voltometer reading??

Just wanted to check, when I've been out and about in the beast I've noticed that the voltometer thingy is reading 9v, not in the middle on 12, is this normal??

Should read somewhere between 12v & 14v.
Try a multimeter on the alt output to determine if it's the alt or meter at fault.

Stopped off at ATS on the way home and they checked the battery for me, its registering 12.7v and is at 70% capacity, they said this was classed as a 'good' battery and I had nothing to worry about. That now begs the question about the accuracy of the guage? Any experience anyone?
