heater plugs

How hard is it to change the heater plugs in my 2.8 and how long about to do the job ? Ive had trouble lattly starting me jeep in the morning due to the cold weather is it my plugs

could well be and about a 15 min job or atleast if all goes well and no snapping or rounding old glowplugs Afro

I've done it on mine and I'm a girlie - so if I can do it then anyone can  Wink (and no TT didn't help!)

Except I put cheap glow plugs in and may have to change them again. Doh!  Roll Eyes

took me about 20mins the first time.

You need to disconnect the battery - then the glow plug rail than loosen off the rail from the plugs.

Then one at a time gently unscrew the plugs - a deep socket set is handy for this.   Trick as mentioned is not to snap or breal the plugs when pulling them out - also be careful not to smack the carbon tips as they come out of the whole.

Revers procedure for fitting new ones and off you go...

its worth giving the raila  good clean while you're at it too.

didnt disconnect battery on mine as it aint getting power till ignition is turned on Roll Eyes
