Aftermarket glow plugs 2.8 Engine...
« on: November 19, 2007, 07:44:04 PM »

Hi Guys,

Yes it's winter time and your paj is lumpy when starting from cold,
Probably  need some new glow plugs, BUT its near Christmas and can't afford Genuine Mitsubishi glow plugs...
THIS MIGHT BE USEFULL...
Reputable branded part numbers for 2.8 glow plugs;

OEM part numbers - ME200970, ME201638, ME202785, ME203583, ME203754....

CHAMPION - CH607...

NGK - CY55... Aftermarket Replacement for NGK CY05 only available as a main dealer part...

DENSO - DG306...

BOSCH - 0250202121....

Found these numbers when cross referencing in the DENSO GLOW - PLUG catalogue....
Not sure if these do the 2.5 though - don't think they will.... Huh Huh Huh

Glo plug relays are behind the front battery on a 2.5 with 2 batteries

The glo plug ECU is in passenger footwell behind dash and glove box

Yep! I got 'cheap' versions on ebay and while I don't have any problems starting, we have the occasional little 'cough' on a cold morning (both me and the Paj at the moment as it happens, lol!  Roll Eyes  )

 Will no doubt end up replacing sooner rather than later
