definatly a good idea only problem with hydrogen is its got a lower flash point than gas and petrol so you would have to have a seriously thick tank just incase of a crash you just have to look at the hindenburg disaster

There is nothing new about water welding. I remember using one about 20 years ago for joining the conductors of mineral insulated cable. You could buy them commercially then. You just put water in a tank and plug the unit into the mains supply and it separated the hydrogen and oxygen from the water by electrolysis. I'm convinced though that the real reason it can't be used as a fuel is because you use more energy in the form of electricity than you get back in hydrogen. You would be better using the electricity to drive the car directly through electric motors. There are always people popping up who think they have invented perpetual motion machines and they even sometimes get the devices patented but they never see the light of day. I don't believe the hummer part of the story - the military would not be so daft.

ok so hope this aint dead post but the unit yall are talking about is an electrolyser converts water into hydrogen and oxygen and as mentioned it is very volatile as lots of oxygen can make even safe environments explosive coupled with the hydrogen and you get the picture not only this but hydrogen burns hotter so for your car to effectivly burn hydrogen for prolonged periods the only real answer is to ceramic plate the engine or make the engine from ceramic (plating wears out after 30,00 miles) both of these are mega bucks used to work on electrolysers for living will be happy to tell you more though also you could literally inject hydrogen from a gas bottle using nozzle like nitrous oxide (think go faster gas) with no fuel if u wanna see it work but as mentioned prolonged use damages the engine myth busters on sky showed this and a little (the gas bottle)

hi evryone, havent read the posts in great detai sorry!
i ran my paj on 50% veg oil and 50% diesel the only thing i did was to fit an inline filter just before the injection pump (the veg oil creates hard crystals when water is present... dont be fooled condensation WILL occur overnight in the fuel tank) i changed mine every month without a problem
