33X12.50X15 Kumho
« on: December 10, 2007, 10:49:35 PM »

My new White 8-spoke wheels turned up last Wednesday and the Kumho KL71 33x12.50X15 on Thursday, so I didn't hang about getting them fitted Grin

Compared to the Camac 31X10.50X15 they look huge Cool

They fill the arches up nicely Wink

Before

After

I was slightly worried if they would fit without rubbing anywhere and what they would be like on road. Well the rub very slightly on full lock somewhere and I haven't had a look where yet, but on the road they are great. They seem to grip just as well as the Camac, but they are quieter and give a softer ride over speed bumps and pot holes Afro

I went out green laning on Friday night and thet were great, time will tell if they foul anything on full articulation, but if they do then it will be a 2" body lift kit from the club shop Wink

Looks very good indeed Afro   think you may need a lift though, be interested to know if you don't  Smiley  if it's only the anti roll bar touching you could just remove it?

Look good but almost certain to rub on full lock and full compression.

I reckon you need a suspension and body lift for 33" tyres to be comfortable but that's based on 2.5 SWB experience.

2.8s sit higher so you may get away with just one of those.

This is Shoggy's old 2.5 SWB one, with a 2.8 bonnet Afro

It has LWB rear springs and the torsion bars wound up, so it sits higher than standard. I guess that the next outing at Bures pit will be the ultimate test to see if it rubs on the arches Grin

and the measurement is Grin

OK I have just braved the cold outside Tongue Wink

From the ground up to the top of the tyre tread is 31" as the sidewall is compressed at the bottom due to the weight of the Paj.

Accross the tyre from 3 O'clock to 9 O'clock it is 32"...........so much for a 33" tyre then Roll Eyes

Measurements are from the top of the tread and not the carcass.
