0-60 times!!!!!
« on: December 11, 2007, 08:43:51 PM »

OK, getting used to the power of the Evo, so I have a question for all my fellow Evo owners, what settings give the quickest 0-60 times?

Is it in auto and a case of putting your foot down?

Is it in 4 wheel drive on a high setting and using the tiptronic gearbox?

Or is it in two wheel drive using the tiptronic box?

Or is it another setting?HuhHuh?

Yep, I'd agree with that - in Tim's Evo of course!

Worked for me....  Roll Eyes

 Roll Eyes  Grin  Cool

In drive it'll shift at 6,500 rpm max

The rev limiter however is at 7,250   Wink

That does appear to be the quickest wy to 60, I just have a nagging doubt about getting more traction in 4WD and accellerating faster??

Hi!

I'm not a Paj Evo owner, but I do have an Isuzu Vehicross... I intend on finding out what my 0-60s and 1/4 mile times should be the next time Clarky and I go to Santa Pod with the good people of YCUK. I'm going for 4-High and the power button pressed. I'd stick with auto mode tbh...

Being the original "tight Scot" I'll also be crying into my wallet when it comes to refuelling at the end of the day. Its bad enough when I've moved to this from a diesel Yaris!

Ahh yes, the traditional response...

Only had it a week so there are only a couple of crummy pics of it in the carpark here at work...

Handbuilt 3.2 litre petrol V6
Torque-sensing 4wd (if you want, 2wd if you care for your wallet)
model-specific rally-developed suspension
More gadgets than you can shake a stick at including a reversing camera as standard
Recaro front seats, Momo steering wheel, big chunks of genuine carbon-fibre in the cabin...

And it looks like a Lunar Rover...

A genuine "wtf?" mobile as they were on ly sold in the US and Japan.

A

edit: apologies for the thread-jack btw...

They are nice. I even thought about one briefly.

Don't think they are as quick but I may be wrong

I don't think they're as quick either tbh - but it would be fun finding out!

Supposedly the US version (which has a 3.5 but running crap petrol) will do around 8 seconds. Some folk in the US have supercharged theirs and I'd guess they're flying machines...

Transmission also differs between the two so I don't really know.

Edit: Before I forget, I'd like to thank David Wiltshire for his help and opinions earlier in the year when I started looking. He owned one previously...
