Sorry it took so long but here is a pic of my towbar set up.Certain items attatched have had a bit of a battering which is why the sockets are going to be relocated to the original tow point  |

What I intend to do is fit the bracket behind the tow point fixing.It saves drilling the bumper  view from the left side |

Except your insurance for the vehicle and caravan will undoubtedly be nul and void if you tow from there and anything happened, I know lots of people do this without a problem - But god help ya if it goes wrong. I've got a chassis mounted bar on my paj which is snug under the bumper and it actually grounds at about the same time as the fuel tank

mine is slung under the bumper But the take has never ground out the tow hitch take it all the time

Some people say it's not safe to tow off the recovery point

the recovery point is where it is for a reason. also note that it takes a nato pindle hook exactly. i feel it was done so that mitsi could do a military version for tendering if they wanted. will tow a sankey trailer no probs. in fact will tow another paj no probs either Mike |

Got one on my patrol which is removable. Think its a commercial type, you just pull the pin slide it off and bars is away! (well hitch anyway!) It has varying drops on it so its adjustable. Dunno how much they cost or if it will work with the paj but worth looking into!
