Ooooooo lots of questions today, thanks for being patient.
On my Pinin key fob I have: 1 key 1 black, 2 button central locking device (why 2 buttons? 1 locks and unlocks the car, what does the other one do? Just seems to make the keyfob LED flash?) 1 small 1 1/2 cylindrical device with a push in bit at one end with the word COBRA on it (What the heck is it and where do I insert it (insert own joke here!)
Thanks

sounund like you have an aftermarket alarm & immobaliser, this is how it is with my cobra alarm - the scond button on the fob is a 'panic' button (will set the alarm off for 30 secs when the alarm is armed) & the other bit sounds like hardware 'key' that disarms the system when it's held to it's contact point (this is how you disarm your alarm when the fob won't work).

Right.... so I need to find the contact point for this cobra thing?
If I hold down the second button on the fob the alarm will go off? When alarm is set? When is that then - do you mean when the doors are locked or when the cobra thing is set (which I have no idea how to set)
Ta for the advice

Spot on I have the same. My contact point for the hardware key is above the far right drivers air vent on the dash. My immobiliser cuts in after the doors are left unlocked for 30 seconds and no ignition on. This key disables the immobiliser without having to arm/disarm the truck again.

with mine I just press the big button once to disarm the immobiliser when it comes on again saves having to take the keys out of the ignition if you've just been sitting listening to the radio

Well this is how mine works: Large button locks and unlocks. Smaller button sets immobiliser and deadlocks. The contact point on my Pinin is on the left hsnd underside of the steering column

Aha! I found the contact point for this key. It's down by the side, under the steering wheel.
Thank you for all the above advice.
