It is important to remember that if you attach a photo to a post that has been directly uploaded from your computer that it is only a temporary file, which means that when our attachment folder gets full it is neccesary to delete any pics over 30 days old, if we didnt do this then nobody else would be able to attach a photo on the forum. To prevent any photos from being erased your best option is to upload any photos to a dedicated photo server like photo box, photo bucket or image event, i use image event but it is a paying service but one of the advantages of it is that it will automaticly resize your photos to 640 x 480 if neccesary.
