If you don't mind me asking, was that on yer own or as a named driver??

My son is 17 next month and we're having difficulty finding reasonable insurance on his own!
With my wife as main driver they still want £1200ish for a Corsa!!

Yes it was as a named driver - but considering i paid 1800 quid to get insured on me own insurance on a car worth 200 quid, and on Tesco.com as me own driver they wanted 3k for the shoggie which considering the cost of some aint bad!

But if ye go on there and get him as a named driver should be bout 500 quid or something

Also once he has passed will be a lot cheaper! Maybe worth just waiting till he has passed

Ive been insured with Tesco for the last 3yrs and found em to be pretty reasonable, my insurance even came down even more this year as I added my hubby as a provisional licence holder! Which I thought was pretty weird but Ive had no problems what so ever with them... but Ive never made a claim (touch wood) so who knows Grin
