Snoopy's new snorkel
« on: February 11, 2008, 11:42:00 AM »

Another productive weekend spent on Snoopy - snorkel this time. Thanks TT for doing most of the work (as usual). But I did join in and get my hands dirty. TT has photos to prove it!

and finally... a well earned drink to mark the occasion!!

Suspension lift next - just waiting for the kit to arrive. Body lift kit here already but waiting on bumper brackets, and rock sliders currently on order with Tony  Cheesy

Roof lights possibly being ordered tomorrow, wheel spacers and a rear spoiler also on the way very soon  Wink

Think that's enough to be going on with  Grin

Looks tidy - how long did it take end to end to fit?

It only took a couple of hours in reality, although we had to go out to get a 16mm hole cutter and we had a bit of trouble with the plastic clips holding the wheel arch lining in place. Some of the nuts were a real bitch to get to aswell. I have tiny hands and even I struggled to get my hand up inside the wing.

Other than that it all went pretty smoothly

Yep that all sounds very familiar ... the inner wing nuts are a mare arent they!  I was sorely tempted to lose the headlight washer bottle but it all went back together again in the end...

All of the airbox and stuff had to come out for the replacement turbo last weekend so Il lhave to resilicone everthing again this coming weekend.

Theres definately something very mean about the snorkel though - people stop and stare...

Yes it does make a big difference to the look of the Paj - looks quite smart I think

I did lose the headlight washer as it has never worked since I've had the truck and it was full of stagnant water. Never missed it so not bothered about not having it now.

And those inner wing nuts... well the cuts on my hands are proof of what a nightmare they are!

Yeah I looked like Id had a fight with an alley cat for a few days afterwards - Im trying to figure out what useful gismo I can use the electrical connector for down there - then the bottles going!

When does the skoosh trigger? is it with the windscreen washers normally?  Mines never worked so have no idea?

No mate, with your headlights on, the button on the end of one of the stalks.

Looks good Sadie (and familiar  Roll Eyes). Well done Timbo! (She might have cleaned it for you first though eh!?)  Grin
