I'm not joining in that one I'm keeping an open mind on tyres as I still have to make a decison on what I want when I eventually get my steelies and new ones. Will be asking for opinions folks

Will be asking for opinions folks i will get in first then kumho kl71 m/t's 12 month's of abuse and still going strong with plenty of tread left on them and they are built with stronger sidewall's to help eleviate puncture's.

Have to admit, I do like the look of the KL71's. Are they aggressive?

yes they are more than capable of doing everything you want em to do they only time mine have failed me is when i've sat the truck on the axles and dived into mud that deep that only a unimog would get through it and i've thrown load's at em.

I was gonna get the 71's before I got me Hankooks. I went for the Hankooks because (and yes I know I'll take some ribbing for it) they have white lettering Seriously though, I went to AJS tyres yesterday to get my new tyre put on and I was chatting to the owner, Andy. Funnily enough he's just put 71's on his Landie. He would have had the Hankooks, but he can't get them. He said that the Hankooks have a thicker sidewall and slightly better sidewall lugs. I told him I wasn't too impressed - have suffered a puncture and a sidewall cut and he thinks I was just unlucky. He said if you hit a sharp bit of rock, no tyre would survive. So anyway I hope he's right, because as far as traction, road noise and smoothness goes they are definately the best tyres I've had so far. HTH Nick

Hmmm... food for thought there I guess. I know you said you get no road noise with those, but that doesn't really bother me to be honest as I don't do monster miles (but then neither do you). White lettering, whilst pretty and I can understand why you wanted it, isn't top of my list either. I want something really very aggressive personally. May have a closer look at yours at the weekend
