Volkswagen problem, Please dont shoot me lol
« on: February 21, 2008, 05:11:12 PM »

Hi all, my 2nd car is playing up and i wondered if anyone could help, Bit of a long shot here  Smiley

I have a VW Bora 2000 reg, The problem with it at the moment is its Not starting, The Battery light is lit, I thought it was a low battery at 1st so i bought a new battery, After installing it im still having the same problem, I can only assume its maybe somthing with the fuel, as the fuel is fairly low in the car, I cant start the car which means i will have to tow it to a VW garage which is only gonna cost me more!

If i open the fuel cap, shake the car and have a listen i cant hear any fuel sloshing about, but the fuel light didnt show before hand.

Anyone got any ideas or can give me somkind of advice or checklist to go through?

Thanks

I think you have it mate - if you can't hear any fuel sloshing around when you shake the car then its unlikely any is being pumped to the engine   Wink
