Bank Scam
« on: March 11, 2008, 06:15:30 PM »

The wife had an email from the halifax and another from the HBOS asking for the change of password confirmation to the accounts. Wife noticed that the addresses werent the same and emailed the Halifax fraud unit who state its one of maney scams hitting your screens this week.

The email looks real enough, several items have been copied of the banks websites.

Cheers

Thanks for the heads up Davie

There's a lot of these around at the moment and some are very convincing.

Anyone else reading this - your bank will never ask for passwords etc by email   Wink

Should always email your banks fraud unit to let them know, gives them a starter to try and catch the scum.
