not very scratchy when we did the reccie last weekend, although there were a few lowish branches (one took off nicks arial). its hard to predict though cos with all the wet and sun, the green stuff seems to grow quite quickly. that route you took us down on the way to salisbury plain was probably 50 times worse Mike

No previous experience needed as you'll be in good company - just make sure you point that out on arrival Take a look here and yoy'll find some useful info http://www.pajerouk.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,702.0.htmlReally you need to be familiar with how to get the vehicle into 4WD and lo ratio etc and the principles of using engine braking to slow down rather than brakes as these can be bad news on slippery surfaces. If you have pre conceptions of anything like rallying, forget them as our off-roading is done carefully at slow speeds so as to retain vehicle control and avoid damage CB is very useful but not essential and ideally you need AT tyres as a minimum as road tyres can be prone to punctures off-road. There are others going on this day Wacko that are also new to offroading and will be in standard trucks. And as Tim say's, you'll be fine as there are plenty of others to help you along the way. Anything you are unsure of, don't be afraid to ask - we've all been there and know what it's like when you're just starting out. We just want you to enjoy yourself - and I have no doubt that you will

yup i will put you down for this, but, there may be a reshuffle on the day group wise, dependant on how we finally play the fords on the day. more info and listing of attendees here.... http://forum.fourwheeldriveclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=135you will be fine as no matter what group you are with, there will be experienced off roaders with you. Mike
