Hi guys i have got a dragstar 1100, but how involved is it to change the rear tyre, only got a side stand and its shaft driven.

cant help with the shaft drive bit as all mine have been chain driven but your going to need atleast a padock stand bud

prob easier to take into your local bike tyre fitter. They will use a paddock stand.

I used to work opposite a tyre place and although they'd fit bike tyres they wouldn't take it off the bike for you. While I was supposed to be working I watched a bloke put his sidestand down and then a trolley jack under the rear shock to get the back wheel off the ground  , it looked so unstable I was just waiting for it to fall but he managed it. I wouldn't recommend it though as it didnt look safe and his was only a little bike so it would of been easier to pick.

Hey there, just a note, i did the tyre myself with my trolly jack, the drive shaft just pulls out. i got the tyre Bridgestone 170/80/15 of the net £89.00,it was £160 cheaper than from the chap down the road,the site was intobikes.co.uk and was delivered the next day. thanks for your help. will
