looking at your vehicle a question comes to mind... what's the better place to put the intercooler, where yours is located [or is that an oil cooler - if it is then no bother as my question still applies] or on top of the engine as per 2.8tdi's? I would've thought where yours is located in front of the radiator but I wonder all the same!

Both 2.5 and 2.8 mount the intercooler over the engine but have air supplied to it by either bonnet ducts from the radiator grille or an air scoop on the 2.8 bonnet with air drawn in by the intercoooler fan if required by temperature sensor. If you decide to mount it atop the engine do take care to ensure it can get some cool air
