home made snorkel
« on: June 28, 2008, 03:34:25 PM »

Hi all
been looking at getting a snorkel for a while, but the price just kept putting me off ,so i thought i would have a go at making one myself.
after looking at alsorts of pipe, my mate come up with what i thought was a good idea, see what you think.

All it cost was £20.00 and fits on to the original rubber pipe to air filter

Looks real good mate, but be carefull. When i did my mk1 home made snorkle, i checked the air box and there was some small holes. So i welded them up and also mastic the lid shut.
Water finds the smallest pin holes, believe me  Roll Eyes
