Well the obvious and hardest wearing choice but also most expensive would be to switch to BF Goodrich Mud Terrains.
We can quote you for these on Steel Modular RIms through the shop as well as the special offers I listed in the shop section of the forum.
Generally though more aggressive mud tyres don't last so well on tarmac as they are usually a softer compound.
Also depends whether you plan to lift the truck to make room for them.
Foir my money the Mudzillas on black modulars look the business as well as being a great performer off-road. Take a look at CupCake's pics of Snoopy these days to see what thos look like.

Actually they do !
There is a little known 31x10.5 R16 Mudzilla and it's the only 16 inch size
Yes - if you fitted 33 x 13.5 R15 you would need spacers although the other option would be Creepy Crawlers that tend to cater for 16 inch sizes better

I like the one's already you already got on the truck - look quite smart i can recommend Mudzilla's though if you want more aggressive, but the 33 x 13.5's on 15" rims do need spacers. They stick out quite a bit, but mine passed the MOT without wheel arch extensions.

a few questions to consider though before you buy new bigger wheels and tyres . shaun74 just bought some recips on black mods for his landie and the weight of the extra rubber with it been so thick and the steel mods as apposed to the alloys is imense. and with the taller tyres he now gets a lot less to the gallon and it is much noticably slower to get to top speed and not as quick up motorway hills etc . so bear that in mind when your next post is .....my fuel consumption is bad ,,is this right . because yes it will be a lot worse and yes it will be right. i would keep the alloys and your bfg,s as spares if you do lots of onroad stuff and have a different set for off road then you have the best of both worlds and also have a spare set just incase you kill a tyre offroad your not stuck without a good set of wheels

Are considering fitting a body lift and suspension lift?
If not I have a very nice set of brand new Kumho KL71. 31X10.5XR15LT 109Q (265X75XR15) for £260.00

If you want them to look larger I also have a set of 40mm spacers. They pushed my wheels out too far but I am running 33x13.5r15 on American 11" wheels. I'm after £120. It's not rust in the picture but copper grease. This is the blerb. " At last a 4x4 wheel spacer built to the same high standards as the vehicles they are fitted on! After a worldwide search, at last we found it, a company with the equipment required to produce this important product consistently to the standards we require. Manufactured from aircraft quality billet aluminium using state of the art CNC manufacturing equipment to exceed ISO9000 standard to our exacting standards." http://www.supertrux.com/acatalog/index.html

Keep getting drawn back to those spacers Neil I am very very tempted — might save me importing a set from the US of A

Personally, I would go for these (Astral) with BFG ATs unless you do a reasonable amount of mud then go for the MTs (Always with white lettering on the inside!). http://www.4x4tyres.com/index.php?show=wheels&mid=2&mod=68&wid=700The 'Astrals' make it look like the wheels stick out further than they do (saw a PAJ with them in Colchester). I considered wheel spacers myself but after seeing other Pajs I decided they look a bit odd from the the back. IMO. I would also remove the Bull bar & replace the chrome grill with a black one... I prefer the subtle agressive look to out-right loonacy! The black grill re-focuses the eye on the lights (which look quite agressive anyway). Also, a sunstrip (as low as poss) would look cool too. Oh, and some white side repeaters... It could just be the way that it is sitting on your drive but, it looks like the front could do with abit of a lift to level the truck a bit... removing the lump of metal from the front may do that!
