My New car - first pajero
« on: July 25, 2008, 10:10:07 PM »

Well I just bought my first Pajero today - really excited.

I found a car on the net called the guy up and arranged to meet him. The guy was really nice, after a quick chat and look round the car all seemed ok so we did a deal and I drove it away there and then.

To be honest my new car does need a little work but only minor issues like the mirror adjustment not working and an issue with the horn and the air conditioning wasn't working but nothing that worries me. Also needs some minor bodywork doing but as I run a Paintless Dent Removal and Minor body repairs company none of that bothered me either so I am really happy, I got the car at a great price - very happy man today.

Oh the car is a K reg SWB Pajero - not sure what else to say about it do they come in different specifications? Mine has air conditioning electric windows, height adjustment thing, split rear seats.

Oh I also got the aircon sorted today my dad runs a car diagnostics company and Air Conditioning company, so he took a look and the system was empty, he pressure tested it all was ok so he topped it up and all is now cool ;-)

I am looking forward to learning about my car from everyone and hopefully I can contribute with my knowledge as well.

Mike.

At the moment I only have photos from the advert on the internet - these are below. I will try and get some better ones tomorrow - I have a busy day with work but will do my best.

Welcome to the club Mike!

Nice Paj - Good choice on the petrol  Azn

Those wheels look very large though, do you know what size they are?

Enjoy your paj and feel free to ask any questions.

Hi,
Thanks for the welcome.

Not sure on the wheel size I would pop out and have a look  but my Paj is at my workshop so will check tomorrow.

The reason I decided on the petrol model is that my dad's company does LPG conversions so I will be able to get half priced fuel ;-)

Thanks Guys.

I'm in St Albans, Hertfordshire. We share a large workshop also in St Albans. If you would like a price let me know and i will PM you his email address all you would need to provide are your cars details. I should be able to get him to do a deal for members of this forum if there is enough interest. From what he was telling me the best results are gained when doing a petrol engine.

Your right I had a short drive home and loved the power, and the lovely sound  Smiley

St Albans - you're not far from Mike (Chastiser). You can swap tips!  Grin

Nice looking truck there and lucky you with getting the LPG conversion - I'm not jealous at all! LOL  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Right had a look today and the wheels are 17", I like them but they do need a refurb luckily another service I provide Smiley So have all the gear.

No new pics yet, still a few more issues to work out, 1st is someone in the past has put the wrong steering wheel on and messed up the indicator canceling and the horn, I think I need to buy a new stalk unit as I can see broken plastic.

2nd issue is the mirrors not adjusting, I have checked the fuse and that is fine. I noticed on here someone said check the relay? can't see where that is any suggestions? I will also check out the switch.

So glad I found this forum.
