Strata Florida
« on: July 27, 2008, 04:39:32 PM »

Yesterday I spent 19 hours away from home traveling to and from and then driving this well known welsh lane/river. I did manage to forget a few things though yesterday:

The route map I had painstakingly printed highlighted and taped together
To charge my video camera batteries
The sd card for my camera which I had left in my card reader attached to my computer

And so my pic output is not as many as usual — I managed to flatten totally my Video batteries capturing the following images:

The group I was leading

The group I was leading including my truck

Rocky track

Not a problem

The lengths photographers will go....

...To get a decent shot

Dipping a wheel in

The perfect shot Smiley

That Delica looks soooo clean

The Monterey paddle Smiley

The Shogun splash

Hmmmmm...... water hog!!! Grin Grin

The 2CV showing how to do a rock climb

The Mk2 Shogun on the same bit

The big thing about Strata Florida.....

...Is the amount of water....

...Keeping us adult children...

...Happy all day long

Incidentally the whole even was organised by South Wales Pajero Off Road Club

May I ask where abouts that track is please...??

Look's like you all had a great time though, strange seeing a 2CV off roading, I take it it did OK though...

The track is in west wales close to Builth Wells Look up Strata  Florida for the abbey or buy the latest Total Off Road magazine which has the route in it this month.

The 2CV unfortunately broke the front diff towards the end of the lane but managed to limp on in 2wd — yes it is one of the few 4wd 2CVs in the world and always gets 'looks' when it's out laning or playing Wink
