Hi all,

Is there anyway of killing off the annoying beep noise when the keys are in the ignition when the drivers door is open...??

DOH, can't listen to the radio then... Cry

I suspect not as it's part of the immobiliser

I didn't know it had one of them fitted, mine is a '95 2:8 Exceed, are they fitted as standard...

Thye beeper can be disconnected but it's quite handy for knowing you have selected reverse so personally I would leave it.

Hi guys, you could always override the switch, wire a switch in line (from buzzer wire on door switch) then turn it on or off when needed.

like will say's the drivers door pin switch has two connectors one for the interior light the other for the buzzer just disconnect the one that operates the buzzer 2 min job. Afro

mine just packed up one day! Huh  not bothered about it though because it did do my head in, only bit i miss is the lights on warning, i drive round in the day wit my lights on (gives someone less of an excuse to pull out on you) and when you get out walk away and take an admiring look at the paj............ Embarrassed Embarrassed Grin

And my light around the ignition has stopped workin! but that was after i was fiddling about under the steereing colum. Roll Eyes

I can listen to my radio without the keys in the ignition......i can take them out when the engine is running aswell Shocked  Smiley
