Lockwood Dials - my own mod !
« on: August 10, 2008, 11:51:10 AM »

As you know the Lockwood Dials are a great piece of kit, but after fitting them yesterday, I felt that they had "left something out "

Take a look below...

The middle cluster is stil black. It is not included in part of the kit.

But hey I think I have the answer....

should I apply for a patent?

I have been toying with the idea of colouring in the Super Select 4WD and image with a black pen, and making the background completely white, but with the cut outs for the wheels/diffs and instruments.

Lockwood only needs to produce a white plastic overcard (to replace the clear plastic with decals). that would just slip on nicely, probably be the easiest out of all of them to change.

I would like to get rid of the "sqauare edges" and get a match to the holes in the rev counter.

Lockwood, are you interested?

Or am I barking up the wrong tree....does it look ok?
