I've just about decided on new tyres (BFG's or General Grabbers) and would be grateful for advice:
1. Does anyone know a decent tyre fitter in the Hampshire area (if I buy online) and what I can expect to pay all up (but excluding the tyre i.e. for fitting/balance/disposal of old etc.,) per corner?
2. Or can anyone recommend a good tyre shop/provider in my local area - I'm still waiting for a phone back/reply to e mails from a couple of the local ones - they seem unenthusiastic to discuss my options etc! - so business can't be too bad!
Hi Keith, Yes got some good deals with a couple of suppliers including Merityre who can supply Coopers and Insa's. let me know and I'll get you a price Cheers Carl
either that or go to your local national garage, ask them if they can get hold of general grabbers if thats the tyre you have set your sight on, then go in with a quote for the tyres and ask if they offer a price promise they should in fact sought out the tyres and fit them for a better price than what you can get unless of course you are getting them cheaper than they can then they might fit them for you for £25 a pair.
PJ is presently in the repair shop for a new front end after a Dagenham Dustbin Crewcab reversed into it - but as soon as I get it back I'll be back on the tyre trail!
