Ever since I got stuck in my first Paj, I have always carried an Air Jack with me ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-61432-Tonne-Inflatable-Jack/dp/B0001K9XR0 )...

I don't know why more people don't carry them, as they are so useful...
