I have 2 Pajero's and dad has one.
The 2.5's dont smoke anywhere near as bad as the 2.8
Any ideas why ?
I have ordered an EGR blanking plate - but fear it might be more than that.
although it's bad on idle, it's ok when driving
thanks

ahh the fuel pump !
someone (fitter) stopped me in the car park and suggested that !
What's involved? Can it be DIY'd ? Or do I have to take it to a pro ?
Cheers
buying some injector cleaner (Redex I think)

I have it on very good authority that diesel injectors are knackered at 50,000 miles so I would get these re-furbed first if I were you
Then get the pump properly set up for the re-furbed injectors as it's often turned up to try and compensate for knackered injectors
