I have monroe 4x4s on the back of mine they are a bigger diameter and have a longer stroke than the original — the number taken straight from the book in the local motor factors

Mine are labelled "LiP" and come from Quinton Hazell!
They are the ones listed in the QH book in the Motor Factors.
I bought them before realising the club shop could provide!
Happy with them. They're a slightly larger diameter than the original and, oddly enough, the rears have a slightly longer stroke too. Nothing major. From memory about 1.5". The size difference makes them a little tougher to fit than the originals, but a little experimenting found the correct order to put them in and. once fitted, they don't foul anywhere.
One thing caused me some entertainment. When they come out of the box the front ones are fitted with a wire tie, which you remove when fitting. I took this off the first shock while I was figuring out how to thread it in. Bad move! Once unrestrained the shock quickly extends to it's full length, propelled by the gas envelope. This is not at all desireable when the shock is not lined up with its' holes and is very hard to rectify when it gets trapped the wrong side of a steering rod or similar.
The right way is to line it all up carefully and get an assistant to cut the restraint while you guide the extending shock into place! You can do it solo (I did, after learning how not to do it on the first one), but you need to move quickly!

Good luck with doing the job

Explorer Pro Comp can supply standard length or 2" over stock to fit and we sell them through the club shop.

However atm I'm afraid I can't tell you what lead time will be

From the world of Suzuki SJ's, they all go for 1989 Astra Shocks -  they are about £8 each from a motor factor, not compared them to Pajero's though, I guess that they might not be up to the job, but it would be interesting to find out !
