Gear Ratios

Ratios
Differential, Transfer Box and Gearbox Ratios
diff = either 4.625:1, 4.875:1 or 4.9:1 depending on year and model

transfer box
low = 1.925:1
high= 1.000:1

gearbox
1st=2.826:1 or (2.904)
2nd=1.493:1 or (1.531)
3rd=1.000:1 or (1.000)
4th=0.730:1 or 0.688:1 (0.754 or 0.705)
rev=2.703:1 or (2.393)

ratios in brackets refer to V4AW3-7 TYPE gearbox

ratios not in brackets refer to V4AW2-3 TYPE gearbox

Thus far, the only options for change I have found are changing the diffs for the other ratio or (and this is far more interesting for off road), changing the low ratio cogs in the transfer box. This will reduce gearing by 40% so 'super low ratio' but costs about £1,000 as the casing needs machining.
