The smooth brute force of the Evo
« on: November 22, 2006, 06:33:35 PM »

Every summer I get my Lotus out of storage and tax it from its SORN and the Pajero gets parked up and hardly used. Over the last few weeks I have been taking my daughter to school about 10 miles away and after dropping her off I have a good blast home on twisty quiet roads, the Lotus as most people know is a responsive light car that gives plenty of feedback and a joy to drive. The Lotus went back into storage on Monday and I started using the Pajero again on the same trip WOW! the Pajero never fails to impress me driving the same roads back I am doing at least 20-30 MPH (Road Angel reading) more but its the way it does it no drama just a brutal smooth ultra responsive power buzz and that wickedly evil hiss/whistle from the Blitz filter makes me think that even if I was really lucky and my numbers came up I would still keep and use the Pajero if anyone reading this is thinking of buying a Pajero Evo take it from me as a person who owned an M5 in the mid 80's and various other similar cars plus track day hire of supercars to date the Pajero Evo is the best driving experience I've had !

if they made a five door one i would buy one like a shot, unfortunatly you carnt fit 2 adults 3 kids and 2 dogs in an evo and then expect it to tow a 24 foot caravan around the country Sad

You can easy fit dogs in an Evo  Grin

I live the hassle free existence  Cool

I second all that re the Evo driving experience, especially when you start using sport mode properly.

Gave a mate of mine a lift recently who owns a Boxster, when I floored it, he reckoned the Evo felt just as quick  Cool

What's really interesting is to drive a well known road - ahem ... 'sportingly' within what the car can do comfortably.

Then look down at the speedo !  Shocked  Grin
