 My gorgeous Golden Retriever, Teddy, finally lost his battle with cancer yesterday He was diagnosed back in September with Lymphoma, and we decided on Chemo as they said that was his best chance of surviving for a year or two. Unfortunately he reacted very badly to the chemo and it effectively trashed his bone marrow and blood. He was a fighter and kept bouncing back from one thing only to have something else hit him. He was in hospital for a week and when he came out we were told he had two days to live. That was six weeks ago and since then he has endured MRSA (the hospital superbug), Very bad Anaemia and most recently a heart murmer. When he was 2 he had to have a bi-lateral TPLO which is basically a major operation on both back legs. That meant 12 weeks restricted to the bathroom, but he bounced back. He was a real fighter, but he just couldn't fight any more... So we decide yesterday that he had had enough and now was the time to go chase bunnies in doggie heaven. He was not quite six. He's pictured below on the bottom. The other doggie is our girl Freya, who is a bit lost at the mo, but she'll be ok. Anyway, thanks for reading and say a little prayer for him. Nick
