From '96 onwards the 5 speed Invecs II or 'Tiptronic' auto box replaced the old '3 plus overdrive' box fitted to the Mk2.

This is far more fuel efficient and the 3.5 V6 GDI LWB can manage 20 mpg urban and 30 mpg cruising at 70 mph.

If you are looking to update, this is the one to go for !

....and then lighten the load of the tiptronic by 25 kilos and you get that teeny bit more power from the manual EVO ... we think about 15-18mpg  Cry but like it has already been said .. the fun makes up for it Cool Grin Cheesy Smiley

92 kw in one book - 140 PS in another

Both are factory owners manual translations

By my reckoning 92 kw is 125 HP  Huh

but the 140 figure is from a more modern manual - same engine though  Undecided

Both figures are correct for the 2.8, the lower figure of 128 BHP applies to 1993-1997 models, the post '97 2.8 had a modified fuel pump fitted with some electronic gizmo's to give the extra 12 BHP...they can be identified by the absence of a kickdown cable & 5 leccy connectors attached to the pump. I'v heard this being refered to as an 'electronic fuel pump'...don't be fooled, its still a mechanical pump & still suffers worn front seals!!
