Alternator Re-furbishers
« on: August 17, 2007, 02:53:19 PM »

Hi All

More expence this week for the paj evo.

My alternator decided to pack in on thursday i took it of only took four hours and both arms full of scratches. Took it to tested and was told it was the regulator that had gone and that i needed a new alternator because they can't get the parts to repair it.
I went home and phoned mitsi dealer i gave them my vin No. A few minutes later he asked me if i was sat down and then told me how much for a new one £ 987.00 inc vat  I have found a company that can get the parts and it is being reconditiond for £130.00
inc vat i should have it back in the morning ready to go back in.  Smiley

Audi are the same (I can vouch for that!) - Makes you wonder if they ever sell any parts, and if they do, who'd buy them? No disrespect, but even Evo owners aren't millionaires!
