The Regional Section
« on: January 24, 2007, 09:47:47 AM »

I was thinkin bout your regional section, do you not think it would be an idea to make it so people have to have made a certain amount of posts before they can view that section? as quite a lot of newbies have never posted therefore you dont know them or there intensions? and they can just log in and get your numbers??

Just a thought Undecided

Good thought  Wink

But they do need to be registered to view it and that means getting past me or Joker these days.

First we check the IP addy using a tracking site - If its a known forgery, non-UK or at all 'iffy', they get an email which obviously must get to a valid email address

Then they have to answer a couple of questions about their Paj.

Also the obviously iffy that had got in prior to the current admin structure have now been deleted.

We don't thin the member list unless the details are 'iffy'.

That also goes for those that have never actually been on line let alone posted. (210 ish out of 540).

We did ask about this a while back and the concensus then was to leave em be. Of course that can be changed if members want
- perhaps someone would car to start a poll ?

FYI - Most spam targetting is done by robots on known service providers that are banned.

Think that may be because of publicity on other car forums but often its the search engine indexing bots at work

Guests cant see club news or the regional section
