watched this on the weekend (dvd again ) and i thought it was a thouroughly good film it tells the story of a newley qualified gp who doesnt want to follow in his fathers footsteps and goes off to uganda just as there is a coup, and the country is taken over by idi armin, the doctor is then given the job as personal doctor to armin and it tells of some of the problems that he ahs trying to leave the job.
you dont see what is happening in the rest of the country (the masacres etc etc) but it is a very good true story and well worth a look if you have a couple of hours spare and are into films like this,dont go expecting war and blood and guts because there isnt much of that type of action in the film  it is a good film but, i am glad that i didnt have to pay to go to picures to see it
