Is this true??
« on: February 06, 2006, 02:47:12 PM »

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pajero-genuine-front-spot-light-loom_W0QQitemZ4609362075QQcategoryZ10400QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Is this statement true?? Will this also apply to the Shogun?? If so when you do connect up spots in this method do they come on with the full beam?

Cheers
Matt

Yep - most pajeros have the sockets as they are on the standard wiring loom.

Just as easy to use a Ring wiring kit from Halfords though  Wink

It is slightly miss leading that matt, The loom is for the standard mitsi lights that come on the bull bar (the yellow ones) they are fog lights and need the switch as well, i know this because the guy that sold me my bull bare supplied the switch and the loom as well, so in answer to your question . No it wont work off your main beam unless the uk shogun loom is wired differantly to the paj.

You can always change the wiring so that they work as spots not fogs.

That's how mine was wired originally - using those leads and the sockets behind the rad.

Never had front fog lights - nor a switch for em, but I did have a scotchlok cut into my main beam wire that presumably fed those sockets cos that what my original driving lights had.

Now I've re-wired all the spots via scotchlocks from main beam wire but each pair has its own fuse and relay.

@Pikey. Btw wattage of spots doesn't matter. They don't get tested on mot they are only interested in original lighting, just abide by the law that the spots only operate with full beam, however you can have them switched but only to disable them. Hope that makes sense.
