Tyre pressures again

Are tyre pressures set as per vehicle given the standard sizes, either 31x10.5r15 or 265/70r15.
I ask this cause I recently bought new Cooper Discoverer a/t 31x10.5r15 and used the recommended pressure for that tyre (2.0bar) yet compared to the colway, same size but m/t, Coopers look flatter. Is this a characteristic of different tyre makes or what  Huh  Undecided
