At last
« on: April 10, 2007, 03:38:51 PM »

I have found that damned squeek that's been driving me nuts for months   Angry

In the meantime I have:
Removed the spare wheel and its carrier.
Stipped down the rear door and handle.
Removed the rear seats.
Checked the rear suspension.

None of these helped - so what was the problem?

Well it's unique to Evos and especially those with a tow bar fitted as the rear bumper is cut away to make room for the tow bar brackets.
This allows the bumper to flex as it isolates the rear of the bumper from the securing bolts at the front.
It only moves a couple of millimtres but as it does the bumper chafes on the tow bar bracket.

3 small bits of adhesive tape insulation required between bracket and bumper - sorted !  Cool
