Starter Motors for 93 Pajero

If you own a '93 model Pajero and need a new starter motor

Be very careful as there seem to be 3 different varieties

Blueprint's info is definitely wrong for mine, I have now had 2 wrong offerings

One has the wrong distance between mounting holes
One has the sproket standing too proud from the casing

Now they are saying that the one I want is £365 instead of £150

So I'm buying one from Kingswood Mitsubishi at £150 plus VAT who order according to chassis number

Crankshaft pulley is kaput

The outter one?? Or the internal timing gear one??

Dunno fior sure yet mate but I'm guessing its the outer one

If its the inner one it will make the car run like a dog and drink fuel like a very thirsty dog! Smokes alot too!

Does that but no smoke except on start up

For the extra cost I'd be inclined to change inner one along with the woodruff key, bolt and belts! Fan belt pulley is £££££££££££££££££££££

And will add electric fan too

Agree with the electric fan, I'm convinced that the water puts drag on the fan which kills the woodruff key, I know the fan is supposed to stop in deep water but I don't think it dose!!
