Had the same fault on mine when I first bought it, in the end it was the signal convertor box they had put in behind the dials for conversion to MPH. Removed this and bypassed it, running on new dial plates and I clock distance in kilometres. No problems since.

Hi All, Pulling my hair out here (an I don't have much ) Truck - 97MY P Plate 3.5 Pajero SWB Problem No OD No Speedo Hold button alters the revs as it should. Have changed speed sensor at the gearbox - brand new so know it's okay - £131 Speedo needle doesn't move at all unless I physically move it with my finger, I've noticed that it doesn't return to zero in the same way that the tacho does when you move it with your finger. I presume the speedo is operated by some "magic eletrickery" as there appears to be no physical connect between the speedo head and the speedo pod. Does you guys think I'm looking at a new speedo head or are there other "electrical" things to look at first? Cheers from an almost bald paj driver
