The standard Pajero is already very capable off-road but a few simple modifications can make it far better.
These are already well documented here and several members can advise you from their own experience.
However, before deciding to modify your car please think carefully.
You will be changing the levels of comfort, economy, and road-holding that you are used to.
A lifted Pajero on aggressive tyres and soft long-travel suspension does not handle like a sports car !
If you decide to go ahead...
* Get all work done by a competent mechanic and keep receipts.
* Carefully re-evaluate handling and adjust your driving style to suit. (make sure any other drivers of the car do the same)
* Inform your insurers of all modifications.

Another common question often asked on this forum especialy by the 2.5 diesel owners is "How do i increase the performance" Unfortunatly the engines were not designed with performance in mind and as such there is no proven way of doing this without the risk of damaging the engine or reducing its reliability which can often lead to hefty repair bills. You have been warned
