glow plugs

Hi guys
  How long should the glow plug light stay on? my one only stays on for about 3 seconds even on the coldest days. its a 93 swb 2.8.

Hello and welcome to the madhouse.
Light  generally only stays on a few seconds. But wait for around 10 - 12 secs for an audible click, thats the glow plug relay switching off.
