Topic: greenlaning , pay and play in scotland ?? (Read 297 times)

am from greenock 30 miles south of glasgow is there anywhere near me that has an organised pay and play or decent greenlaning track ..? i can just go up the back road and pick a forest brake and plough in there .. but a planned course would be good .. anyone in scotland done any good days out up here ( i know of knockhill but thats it really ) and is there any scottish meets ?
sorry for the questiosn but just curious .. did a google search but with no join just loads of links to other forums with well out of date threads ..

Down your area is Drumclog and a good local club is http://www.scotlandwest.org.uk/There is the Mad on Mud Club at Glentarkie in Fife and in Argyll regular Forest drives. You cannot go on private land or into forests without permission. |

yeah i know had a look at the link not very impressed with the site not much on it and its seems kindo basic no forum etc to get to know the guys .. am more than happy with stickin to this site just wanted to know if there is alot of jocks on here and if they ever meet up or do days out .. am a total novice and would be great to go along to a driving day etc and participate .. but going down south would never happen  so drumclog would be ideal .. but i dont wanna be a gooseburry .. hhaah |

okay next time we are over your way is September for Drumclog 8. The Scotland West club is very welcoming and are forefront in the running of Tay Forest Challenge. Great banter and well experienced offroaders.

well give me a shout m8 if you are meeting up and i will plod along .. i dont mind traveling in scotland as i often go to crail and knockhill for hot hatch days etc .. but i want to get into offraod ing well the scene of it anyway .. and do some greenlaning ..
but if yous have any other driving forest days then let me know and if i can manage i will pop along .. got a m8 with a landy td5 wanting to play too ..
