the one i will own is a m reg with 71000 km on the clock looks like new with leather seats , i am buying this from central imports walsall, and people i know give them a lot of praise with there aftercare to customers,maybe a bit on thr expensive side at 5500 but not seen a car in the same condition and price , seen a lot of cheaper private but no where near to the condition of this one , so do you think this would be a good purchase THENOD

It does sound expensive, but if you prefer the peace of mind of a warranty and it's really good then go for it. If you're planning on keeping it a few years the price won't be an issue, but if you sell it in a years time then be prepared to take a big loss.

But not as much as on a new car And the answer to your question is yes - every bit as good  I have a bias for V6 petrols over diesel but with a good 2.8 you should get years of trouble free motoring

I paid similar for an L reg 2.8 TD Exceed almost 2 yrs ago! The silly grin hasn't left my face since! I love it! So do the family! Go for it!  Bob

I had a 2.5 lwb for 3 years, and have a 2.5 swb also.
Just got a 2.8 LWB and yup - I have the grin going on.

Bout right - depends on the engine variant and year not to mention how you drive
2.5 TDi does a bit less than 2,8
Later than '98 with a 5 speed auto box will give better mpg as it swaps up to 5th earlier
'98 3.5 V6 LWB can do 30 on a longer run and about 24 average

its a 94 2.8 lwb chap i work with said he gets 28 to the gallon when he drives steady ,
