About: The Pajero Evolution was designed specifically to win the Paris Dakar rally raid in 1997 (which it did and again in 1998).
Only 3,500 had to made of which 550 were officially imported into UK.

Specs include a 280 BHP 3.5 litre Mivec V6 engine, 5 speed Tiptronic gearbox, uprated Superselect 4WD system, lightened chassis,  coil sprung sports suspension, uprated brakes, lightened body, Recaro interior, and GRP aerodynamic body kit.

You can look up the full spec, suffice to say in racing trim, Evos can average 100 mph across the desert!

Compared to other Pajeros, it's damned quick, corners fast without rolling  and stops as quick as it goes, but surprisingly it's also great daily drive. You can lope along very comfortably round town at low engine rpm and keep things relaxed up to motorway speeds. Oh - and it makes a lovely sound too.

Mods: Its completely standard other than an Apexi Air Fuel Computer (not sure why this was fitted as there are no engine modifications) and Pajero UK/Mitsubishi stickers
